Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor Khan, anticipating the debut of her new mystery thriller, The Buckingham Murders, has discussed her connection to her role as a police officer in the movie. The actress, known for her role in Jab We Met, was present at the trailer launch in Mumbai alongside director Hansal Mehta and co-producer Ektaa R Kapoor.

"I believe a mother's love transcends language. It's a universal emotion. As a mother myself, I understand that this love is not bound by any specific language; it's visible in her eyes—her love, her anguish. This is crucial," she explained.

Discussing her ability to manage her personal and professional commitments, Kapoor Khan noted, "I thrive on the challenge of balancing work with being a mother and a wife."

In the film, she portrays a bereaved detective on the hunt for a child killer. Kapoor Khan disclosed in an interview with Variety that her character was influenced by Kate Winslet's portrayal in Mare of Easttown.

"I admire Mare of Easttown, and when Hansal approached me, I was eager to take on a similar role. We've drawn some inspiration from that, where Winslet plays a detective," she mentioned. The Buckingham Murders is set to hit UAE theaters on September 12. Additionally, Kapoor Khan is slated to appear in Meghna Gulzar's Daayra and Rohit Shetty's Singham Again.
