Kate Middleton's cancer battle has become the focal point of a wild new conspiracy theory. The Princess of Wales, 42, declared herself cancer-free in September, six months after confirming she was undergoing chemotherapy for her diagnosis. However, conspiracy theorists are now questioning whether Middleton ever had cancer at all.

The speculation stems from a resurfaced report from September by Sky News senior royal editor Rhiannon Mills. Mills, a respected royal reporter, wrote about Middleton's announcement of being cancer-free. She mentioned that in March, the princess had confirmed the presence of pre-cancerous cells following abdominal surgery and the need for preventative chemotherapy.

The term 'pre-cancerous cells' has raised doubts about Middleton's condition, especially given Mills' esteemed reputation in British media. According to The Daily Beast, Mills is part of the royal rota, a group of British royal journalists who often collaborate with the palace. Despite this, the palace never corrected the 'pre-cancerous cells' detail in Mills' report, fueling the conspiracy theories.

A doctor clarified to The Daily Beast, 'You either have pre-cancerous cells or you have cancer; the two terms are not interchangeable.' British commentator Narinder Kaur has also weighed in on the conspiracy, expressing her confusion and the backlash she faced for questioning Middleton's appearance.

Middleton announced her diagnosis in March, two months after major abdominal surgery at the London Clinic. During her absence from public life, various conspiracy theories emerged, intensifying after a heavily edited Mother's Day image received a 'kill notice' from major press agencies. In a March 22 video statement, Middleton revealed the successful surgery but the subsequent discovery of cancer, leading to a course of preventative chemotherapy.

Middleton largely stayed out of the spotlight during her chemotherapy treatment, making rare appearances at events like Trooping the Colour and Wimbledon. On September 9, she announced on X (formerly Twitter) that she was 'cancer-free,' emphasizing her focus on staying cancer-free and the long path to full recovery.

The health update was accompanied by rare footage of Middleton with Prince William and their three children. She has gradually returned to public engagements, including a visit to Southport to meet the parents of stabbing victims and attending the Festival of Remembrance ceremony.

Prince William recently shared that his wife 'will be doing more' royal engagements in 2025, acknowledging the 'brutal' year they've endured with both his wife and father, King Charles III, being diagnosed with cancer. He also noted that Kate is 'doing well' after completing chemotherapy.
