A Saurya Airlines plane based in Kathmandu crashed during take-off at Tribhuvan International Airport on Wednesday, as reported by a Nepal-based daily. The aircraft was set to depart for Pokhara from Kathmandu at the time of the incident, according to media sources. Media reports, citing Gyanendra Bhul, the Information Officer at Tribhuvan International Airport, stated that only the airline's technical staff were aboard during the take-off. There were 19 individuals on board the plane, as per the reports. More details about the crash are currently pending. In a separate incident earlier this year in January 2023, a Yeti Airlines flight carrying 68 passengers and crew crashed in Pokhara, Nepal, resulting in the deaths of all 68 individuals on board.
