Keira Knightley has revealed that she is not a fan of the popular children’s show “Peppa Pig.” The 39-year-old actress, known for her roles in “Black Doves” and “Pirates of the Caribbean,” shared her thoughts during an appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Monday.

Knightley, who shares two daughters, Edie, 9, and Delilah, 5, with her husband James Righton, explained that her children have recently been enjoying Japanese movies by Studio Ghibli. This change has been a pleasant relief for the actress after years of watching “Peppa Pig.”

“You’re like, ‘Oh, this is just lovely after watching seven years of ‘Peppa Pig,’” she said. Knightley then humorously criticized the animated series, which features a piglet with human characteristics, stating that it played a role in her decision not to have more children.

“You know that thing where you’re like ‘Oh, you know they’re so nice. Should we have another one?’ And you think, ‘Oh yeah, I could do the pregnancy. I could even do the birth but I cannot watch anymore Peppa Pig,’” Knightley said. “It’s not gonna happen. There’s no more kids,” she declared.

In addition to discussing her parenting experiences, Knightley also shared an amusing anecdote about her oldest daughter, Edie, who sometimes finds her mother’s actions embarrassing. During the planning of Edie’s birthday party, Knightley was excited to dance and get everyone involved, but her daughter wasn’t impressed.

“’Mom, mom you are so embarrassing, just go and stand in the corner,’” Knightley recalled. “It was awful.”

Knightley has been married to musician James Righton since 2013. Righton, 41, is a former member of the British rock band Klaxons. Last month, Knightley spoke to The Times about how having children has influenced her acting career, stating that she has had to take a step back to focus on raising her family.

“I couldn’t go job to job [abroad] now. It wouldn’t be in any way fair on them, and I wouldn’t want to,” she explained. “I’ve chosen to have children, I want to bring them up, so I’ve had to take a major step back.”

The “Love Actually” star also mentioned that she has become more selective about the roles she takes on since becoming a mother, preferring projects that offer pure entertainment.

“I’ve been really surprised in the past few years about what I’ve said no to. I’ve wanted it to be more pure entertainment and maybe that’s because I’ve needed that,” she said. “I keep being offered things about children dying or about mothers dying. Can’t do it.”
