This June, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate has included Keplerth in its growing collection, making it the tenth game added this month. Developed by the Chinese studio TARO, Keplerth was fully released in May 2022 by Gamera Games, based in Shanghai. Before its full release, the game underwent over four years of development in Steam Early Access. Keplerth has seen considerable success on Valve's platform, with estimates from VG Insights, PlayTracker, and Gamalytic indicating sales ranging from 115,000 to 276,000 copies by mid-2024. It boasts nearly 3,500 'Very Positive' reviews on Steam. After celebrating its second anniversary, Keplerth joined Microsoft's subscription service on June 20, marking the third PC-exclusive addition this month, following Firework and Depersonalization. However, Keplerth is not currently available on Xbox Cloud Gaming, and Microsoft has not announced any plans for its future streaming availability. Keplerth is a 2D sandbox RPG that combines building and survival elements. Players are responsible for managing and expanding colonies across procedurally generated worlds with various biomes and dungeons. Although it might draw comparisons to colony management sim RimWorld due to its premise, Keplerth's gameplay is more similar to Terraria, viewed from a top-down perspective. The game focuses on survival through crafting, exploration, and base management, offering a gameplay loop centered around progression and upgrades.
