Dubai businessman and philanthropist Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor has contributed Dh11.3 million to Al Jalila Foundation, the charitable arm of Dubai Health. This generous donation will fund the annual cost of 4,000 dialysis sessions for underprivileged patients in the UAE, according to a statement released by the Foundation on Thursday.
In addition to supporting dialysis treatments, the donation will also be utilized for the renovation of the nephrology unit at Dubai Hospital. The refurbished unit will be named in honor of the late Mohammed Khalifa Al Suwaidi, a tribute to his legacy of philanthropy and community service. The funds for this renovation are provided by Al Suwaidi’s estate, managed by Al Habtoor in accordance with Al Suwaidi’s wishes.
Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, the Founder and Chairman of Al Habtoor Group, expressed his commitment to improving healthcare and alleviating the suffering of kidney patients through this initiative. He thanked Al Jalila Foundation for their unwavering dedication to helping those in need and expressed his anticipation for continuing this meaningful collaboration.
