Kusal Perera etched his name in the record books by scoring the joint-fastest half century in Abu Dhabi T10 history. His blistering 15-ball half century for New York Strikers powered his team to a resounding victory in the Abu Dhabi T10 on Sunday at Zayed Cricket Stadium. In pursuit of 112 runs, the left-handed Sri Lankan batsman unleashed an unbeaten 74 off just 27 balls, featuring 6 fours and 7 sixes. Perera's aggressive approach from the first ball set the tone, leaving no room for the opposition to breathe. Supported by Pakistan's Asif Ali, Perera sealed the chase in just 7.5 overs, leading Strikers to a 9-wicket triumph.

Earlier, Northern Warriors managed to post a competitive total of 111/3 in 10 overs on a sluggish pitch, thanks to an unbeaten 46 off 17 balls from Sherfane Rutherford. Finn Allen chipped in with 30 off 15 balls. For New York Strikers, spinner Sunil Narine was the standout bowler, claiming two wickets while conceding just 16 runs in his two overs.

Delhi Bulls secured a convincing win, thanks to an all-round performance from Pakistan international Shadab Khan and impressive bowling by UAE local talent Muhammad Rohid. Rohid bagged three wickets, giving away only 16 runs in his 2 overs, while Shadab recorded figures of 1/14 in his one over, restricting Chennai Brave Jaguars to 97/5 in 10 overs. With the bat, James Vince and Tom Banton provided Delhi with a rapid start, forging a 74-run partnership. However, a couple of quick wickets shifted the momentum before Shadab's unbeaten 20 off 6 balls steered his team to a 6-wicket victory.
