A restaurant in Kuwait was shut down due to multiple food poisoning incidents, as reported by the country's Ministry of Health. The Ministry has assured the public that all those affected by the food poisoning have either fully recovered or are on the mend. Additionally, there have been rumors circulating about cases of schistosomiasis, commonly known as 'snail fever', in various restaurants. The authority addressed these rumors on social media, stating that they are baseless. Schistosomiasis is typically spread through swimming in contaminated fresh water and is not a foodborne disease. The Ministry of Health has also confirmed that they are working closely with the General Authority for Food and Nutrition to monitor and ensure food safety, improve public health standards, and implement necessary measures.
