Starting Thursday, all building violations in Kuwait will be dealt with immediately and without prior notice, as declared by Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister, Defense Minister, and Interior Minister Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, according to the Kuwait News Agency. This announcement follows a devastating fire in an apartment building that resulted in at least 41 fatalities and over 50 injuries on Wednesday morning. The affected building is situated in the Mangaf area of Kuwait's southern Ahmadi Governorate. "From tomorrow (Thursday), the Municipality and its teams will tackle all violations in every apartment building without any prior warning," the minister informed reporters during an inspection of the fire scene. The building's owner has been detained and will remain in custody until the conclusion of the investigation into the fire's cause, as stated by the Minister.
