French sensation Kylian Mbappe was formally introduced as a Real Madrid player in Madrid on Tuesday. The forward, having undergone his medical examination earlier that morning, inked a five-year deal and received the No. 9 jersey from club president Florentino Perez.
"Wow," Mbappe exclaimed in Spanish to the multitude of fans assembled at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. "For years, I've aspired to play for Real Madrid, and today that dream has materialized," expressed the 25-year-old ex-Paris Saint-Germain athlete. "I am a contented individual. I am ready to dedicate my all to this club."
Despite his new colleagues commencing their training on Monday, Mbappe, who led France as captain during the Euros, will enjoy a few additional days of rest before commencing his campaign in the Spanish capital.
