The UAE draws tourists for a multitude of reasons. Among its many attractions are the iconic skyscrapers, sprawling shopping malls, majestic sand dunes, and stunning beaches. However, none of these remarkable landmarks, not even the Burj Khalifa, could entice a young couple from Kyrgyzstan to fly to the UAE. Yet, Adileta Suranbekova and her husband, Belek Shamilov, arrived in the UAE for the third time this week. They never once visited the country for its renowned tourist spots. Instead, the couple found their own reasons to travel here.

Belek is passionate about cars and follows Formula One closely, while Adileta is a music enthusiast. Their ideal getaway is the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, where organizers seamlessly blend thrilling F1 races with magical live concerts featuring top global artists, captivating fans shortly after the drivers cross the finish line.

Adileta, 27, acknowledges that attending a prestigious event like Formula One in the UAE is expensive. “Yes, the tickets are costly, and we spend a significant amount. But we are thrilled to be here. This is our third visit, and we have enjoyed every trip for the F1,” Adileta shared with Khaleej Times at the Fan Zone.

Witnessing these races for the past three years has been a dream come true for Belek. “My husband is deeply passionate about cars and loves watching Formula One races on TV. He is a huge Ferrari fan. So, we feel fortunate to be able to come to Abu Dhabi and experience this live,” she said, as Belek nodded with a shy smile.

After Belek enjoys the F1 cars racing down the Yas Marina Circuit, Adileta takes him to the post-race concerts. “I love music. The last two times we were here, I thoroughly enjoyed all the concerts,” she said. “This time, I am ecstatic to see Maroon 5 live. They are one of my favorite bands.”

“So, as a couple, Abu Dhabi is the perfect destination for us. My husband gets to watch the F1, and I get to enjoy the live performances of these amazing bands. What more could we ask for?”
