For the final time, Lamborghini's forthcoming supercar will be seen in its camouflaged form. The successor to the Huracan is set to debut on August 16 at Pebble Beach, though additional testing is ongoing. Recently observed in Spain, the vehicle, referred to as the "Temerario," maintains an intriguing appearance even under its cover. Notably, the iconic hexagonal design remains prominent, with both the exhaust and taillights adopting this shape. This design is further emphasized by the larger, centrally positioned single exhaust tip, distinguishing it from the Huracan Tecnica's hexagonal exhaust tips.
The rear bumper design, with its squared-off corners revealing part of the substantial tires, is particularly striking. An aggressive diffuser, featuring an F1-style light, is positioned between the tires. Vents on either side of the license plate assist in cooling the engine, which now houses a newly developed twin-turbo V-8 engine, producing 789 horsepower and 538 pound-feet of torque. Complementing this engine are three electric motors, boosting the total output to over 887 horsepower. The engine also boasts a 10,000-rpm redline.
At the front, the influence of the Revuelto is evident in the daytime running lights that form a "Y" shape, a recurring motif in contemporary Lamborghini designs. The lower lights, naturally, follow the hexagonal theme, a design element that has been a part of Lamborghini's identity since the 1967 Marzal concept. Lamborghini has confirmed that this will be a completely new model, unrelated to the Audi R8. Audi, the parent company of Lamborghini, has discontinued the R8, with no plans for a direct successor, although an electric variant is anticipated in the future.
