England's interim manager Lee Carsley will provide Thomas Tuchel with a comprehensive handover report after concluding his short stint with a resounding 5-0 victory over Ireland on Sunday. This triumph secured England's return to the top tier of the Nations League, with Carsley achieving five wins in his six games since stepping up from the under-21s following Gareth Southgate's departure after the Euros.

Apart from a home defeat by Greece, Carsley has garnered praise from England's senior officials. During his six games in charge, he introduced eight players to their senior international debuts. With key players like Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Phil Foden unavailable for his last two matches, Carsley offered opportunities to several players he believes can contribute to Tuchel's World Cup qualification strategy.

"We'll debrief the three camps we've had, not just this one," Carsley, who will revert to his under-21s role, told reporters. "I'll compile a document and hopefully meet (Tuchel) to present our findings and recommendations. Our role is to support the senior manager as much as possible, identifying his needs and how we can assist." He expressed anticipation for meeting Tuchel in the coming weeks.

Carsley awarded debuts to Curtis Jones, Lewis Hall, and Morgan Rogers in the 3-0 win against Greece on Thursday. On Sunday, Tino Livramento and Taylor Harwood-Bellis earned their first caps, with the latter scoring a goal after coming on as a substitute in the second half.

"The mentality they displayed in securing promotion from the Nations League potentially expands the pool of players available to Thomas," Carsley noted. "The challenge for the players involved in the last three camps is to secure a place in the March squad. Many have significantly enhanced their reputations."

Former Everton midfielder Carsley has also bolstered his own standing, receiving high praise from the Football Association's chief executive, Mark Bullingham. "Lee has accomplished the primary objective from the six fixtures this autumn: securing promotion back to the top tier of the Nations League. He has introduced some promising new players and will provide Thomas Tuchel and Anthony Barry with a detailed handover as they commence our qualifying campaign for the 2026 FIFA World Cup," Bullingham stated. "The players have thoroughly enjoyed working with Lee and his team—they have made a substantial impact in their interim roles."
