The Legends Tour has revealed plans to host its inaugural event in India next month. The India Legends Championship, spearheaded by Jeev Milkha Singh, will take place at Jaypee Greens in Delhi from August 30th to September 1st, 2024. This 54-hole tournament, featuring a $500,000 prize pool, is jointly sanctioned by the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) and will showcase top Legends Tour players alongside 10 Indian golfers, including host Jeev Milkha Singh and fellow tour member Jyoti Randhawa.

Jeev Milkha Singh, aged 52 and a recipient of the Dubai Golden VISA Award, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "I am thrilled to be part of the first India Legends Senior Tour event in India. It will significantly benefit Indian golf and invigorate the sport." He added, "Playing in front of Indian fans will be a delight for me and, hopefully, for them as well. We've always attracted large crowds in India, and now fans have a chance to see us again; the golf is still top-notch and more enjoyable."

Currently ranked 34th on the 2024 Legends Tour MCB Road to Mauritius Rankings, Milkha Singh has participated in six qualifying events. He has also been hosting the Jeev Milkha Singh Invitational on the PGTI annually in November. The current Legends Tour Rankings are headed by Scott Hend (Aus) and followed by Peter Baker (Eng), with other notable players including Richard Green (Aus), James Kingston (RSA), Clark Dennis (US), and Angel Cabrera (Arg).

The event will be held at Jaypee Greens, Greater Noida Golf Course, India's sole Greg Norman-designed course. Opened in 2001, the course spans 7,347 yards with undulating fairways and 88 bunkers styled after classic Melbourne sandbelt courses. Jaypee Greens previously hosted the Avantha Masters in 2013, won by South Africa's Thomas Aiken. For more details, visit www.Legendstour.com.
