The Last Generation activists claimed responsibility for the intrusion, stating they had gained access to the airport grounds shortly before midnight. They did not disclose the method of entry but urged the German government to commit to a global pact for phasing out oil, gas, and coal by 2030. This group has announced plans for similar protests in various countries across Europe and North America, following the initiation of their campaign last month. Notably, their previous actions led to temporary shutdowns at two German airports last week.
