Liam Payne’s Argentina hotel has been raided by police officers, who are seeking “new information” about the staff members working on the day of the One Direction singer’s tragic death.
Authorities were reportedly looking for documents within the Casa Sur’s registration books during the raid, as well as data stored in its computers, according to Us Weekly. The 4-star hotel in Buenos Aires has been instructed to provide additional security camera footage from October 16th—the day Payne fell to his death at the age of 31, sources told the outlet.
This development comes just a day after the singer’s devastated father, Geoff Payne, revealed that he is cooperating with officials investigating his son’s death. Geoff, 66, was informed that he might have to wait up to 10 days to bring his son’s body back home. The elder Payne has since pledged to stay with his son until he can return him to the UK.
