Light rains and heavy drizzles have affected certain regions of the UAE. Videos from Storm Centre depict heavy drizzles and light rains along the country's eastern coastline.

In the meantime, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued two yellow alerts on Sunday, August 18. The weather bureau has issued a yellow alert for gusty winds, sometimes reaching speeds of 50kmph, which could stir up dust and sand. The meteorological department has warned of reduced horizontal visibility, which might drop below 3000 meters in some inland areas until 9:30am today.

Another yellow alert has been issued for winds gusting up to 40kmph and rough seas in the Oman Sea, with waves potentially reaching six feet at times in the Arabian Gulf, effective from 12:15pm until 12:15pm today. Additionally, a yellow alert for similar wind conditions and rough seas in the Oman Sea was issued at 1pm on Saturday and will remain in effect until 1pm today.

Most residents of the UAE should anticipate a generally fair and partly cloudy day today, with occasional cloudiness along the eastern coast and cloud formation over eastern and southern regions by afternoon. Humid conditions are expected to persist through the night until Monday morning in some western areas.

Light to moderate winds, occasionally stronger, are forecasted to blow across the country, raising dust and sand, particularly in the northern and eastern regions. The sea conditions are expected to be moderate, occasionally rough in the Arabian Gulf, while the Oman Sea will be rough to moderate.
