As the UAE transitions from its peak summer, light to moderate rain affected certain regions on Wednesday, August 28. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) reported such conditions in Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah. Earlier, the UAE's weather department had issued a yellow alert and predicted rainfall in various areas. The NCM mentioned the possibility of convective cloud formation linked with rainfall and gusty winds reaching speeds of 40kmph in some eastern parts of the country. Additionally, the NCM recorded the highest temperature in the country on Wednesday at 49.6 °C. The meteorological department warned residents to expect several foggy days ahead, especially while driving on the Dubai-Abu Dhabi road. On Tuesday, August 27, the weather varied across the country, with some areas experiencing hail, rain, and dusty conditions, despite temperatures soaring to 50.7°C.
