The Like a Dragon series is set to make a grand return next year with a fresh, pirate-themed installment titled Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii. This exciting new entry will be available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms. The game will feature the iconic Yakuza character, Goro Majima, in a leading role, marking the first time this beloved side character will have his own game.

Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is scheduled to launch on February 28, 2025, and preorders for its standard, deluxe, and collector's editions are now open. By preordering the game, players will receive a unique set of in-game items inspired by the series' latest protagonist, Ichiban Kasuga. These items include Ichiban and his distinctive pet crawfish, Nancy, as crew members for your ship, along with two outfits for Majima based on Ichiban's appearances in Yakuza: Like a Dragon and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.

A deluxe edition of Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, priced at $75, is also available for preorder. This edition includes the full game and preorder bonuses, plus additional content. Currently, deluxe edition preorders are only available through digital storefronts, but physical preorders will be announced in due course.

For collectors, there is also a collector's edition of the game that includes everything in the deluxe edition, along with some exclusive physical content. The pricing for this version has not yet been disclosed. Currently, only the Xbox Series X collector's edition is listed on Amazon, but it is currently unavailable. We will provide updates with links to other platforms once they become available.

Like a Dragon: A Yakuza Pirate in Hawaii will follow the story of the former Yakuza member Majima, who finds himself shipwrecked on a remote Pacific island. Suffering from amnesia, he reinvents himself as a pirate captain and embarks on a quest to recover his memories, find a legendary treasure, and confront ruthless criminals. As Majima assembles his own crew, the game will focus on action combat, similar to the series' earlier titles. More details about the upcoming game can be found in the newly released reveal and gameplay overview trailers.
