Motorsports aficionados, enthusiasts, and families are in for a treat as the Liwa International Festival 2025 prepares to launch. Scheduled from December 13 to January 4, the event will feature thrilling activities such as dune bashing, drifting, and live performances, all set against the backdrop of the UAE's tallest dune – Tal Moreeb.

Liwa is not just a haven for racing enthusiasts. The Wanasa Zone offers a variety of family-friendly attractions, including carnival rides, a petting zoo, and an escape room. The Night Oasis provides an immersive museum experience, while every evening at 8pm, fireworks illuminate the desert sky. Festival-goers can also take hot air balloon rides for a bird's-eye view of the festival and the surrounding desert.

This year, Liwa introduces two new attractions: The Hollywood Circus, featuring acrobats, magicians, and clowns, and the Shams Liwa Ferris Wheel, which offers panoramic views of Tal Moreeb and the surrounding dunes.

As motorsports enthusiasts converge on the desert's sandy dunes, the air will be filled with daring acts, vehicle showdowns, and the roar of engines. Highlights include the Freestyle Drift on December 13-14, the Buggy Torque Challenge on December 15, and the Liwa Burnout Challenge on December 19. Other events include the Liwa Drift Championship on December 21, Bike Drag Racing on December 22, Monster Jam on December 27-28, and the Car Stunt Championship on December 30-31. The festival concludes with the Moreeb Dune Car Championship from January 2-4.

Traditional sports enthusiasts can enjoy camel racing on December 16, horse racing on December 23, and a falcon racing tournament from December 24-26. Visitors can also explore traditional crafts at the Liwa Village Souk, featuring intricate handicrafts by local artisans.

Festival-goers can indulge in a variety of cuisines, from authentic Emirati specialties to international bites. Every Saturday, Tarab Liwa in Liwa Village hosts captivating performances and concerts, featuring regional artists such as Mutref Al Mutref, Mohammad Al Bakri, Hamad El Ameri, Aryam, Aseel Hameem, Mahmoud Turky, Abadi Al Johar, and Rahma Riad.

Visitors can book glamping tents or local accommodation, or bring their own RV or tent to camp under the stars in the heart of Liwa, surrounded by the golden dunes of the Al Dhafra region. Tickets are available on the Liwa festival's website.
