The Loyola College UAE Alumni Chapter organized 'International Alumni Day 2024' at the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai, marking an early celebration of the Chennai-based Loyola College's upcoming centenary. The event was rich in symbolism and provided a platform for the college's officials and alumni, including Grandmaster Viswanathan Anand and Vijay Amritraj, to reflect on their Loyola identity.
Senior officials from Loyola College, such as Rev Dr Louis Arockiaraj SJ, Principal, and Rev Dr Antony Robinson SJ, Rector, were present. They highlighted the college's ranking and commitment to inclusivity, mentioning placements in top firms like Deloitte and Goldman Sachs. Sunjay Sudhir, the Indian Ambassador to the UAE, praised the college's impact and described it as a century-old beacon of education and leadership.
The event also saw the launch of a commemorative book, 'Loyola: 100 Years of Shaping Futures,' authored by Dr Surender Singh Kandhari. The book, released with much enthusiasm, honors the college's legacy and the dedication of its alumni. Dr Kandhari emphasized the importance of global partnerships, highlighting new collaborations with institutions like Ajman University and Al Dobowi Group, which aim to enhance educational opportunities.
