The 122-metre Lürssen superyacht Kismet has made its way to the UK following its much-awaited debut at this year's Monaco Yacht Show. As reported by BOATPro, the vessel is currently docked in Tilbury, marking one of the largest yachts to ever grace the River Thames. Kismet also holds the distinction of being the second-largest superyacht to attend the Monaco Yacht Show, surpassed only by the 123.2-metre Golden Odyssey. Available for charter through Cecil Wright at a rate of €3,000,000 per week, Kismet stands among the most luxurious yachts on the charter market.
Commissioned by repeat Lürssen client Shahid Khan, who previously owned the 95.2-metre Lürssen yacht Whisper (formerly Kismet), the superyacht has a strong connection to the UK. As the owner of Fulham Football Club, Khan is no stranger to the UK, with the previous Kismet often visiting London under his ownership. Reymond Langton Design and Nuvolari Lenard collaborated once again for Khan's new yacht, handling the interiors and exteriors respectively. The yacht's amenities are extensive, featuring a Balinese-inspired spa with a cryotherapy chamber, a chromotherapy bathtub, and a dedicated gym and yoga studio complete with its own juice bar. Additional highlights include fireplaces, floor-to-ceiling glass, and intricate paint and marble detailing throughout the vessel.
Lürssen also achieved a notable first with Kismet's partially submerged lounge, which can transform into a cinema. The lounge boasts extra-large windows (1.1 metres by 2.8 metres) that extend below the waterline. BOAT International was granted an exclusive tour of Kismet, with the feature published in the latest issue of BOAT International magazine. Other notable superyachts that have navigated British waters include the 109-metre Bravo Eugenia, the 63.7-metre Scout, and the 110-metre Kaos.
