LuLu Group International is intensifying its focus on the expansion of hypermarkets in the outer areas of Abu Dhabi as part of its new growth strategy.
Yusuffali M.A., the chairman and managing director of LuLu Group International, emphasized the aim to establish hypermarkets in the suburbs of Abu Dhabi City to enhance accessibility for community members without the need for extensive travel.
The recent inauguration of an 85,000sqft hypermarket in Shawamekh Central Mall, situated over 40km from the city, reflects the group's commitment to this strategy. Humaid Al Marzouqi, Director of Wathba Municipality Centre, officiated the opening of this hypermarket.
Yusuffali articulated that the group's emphasis on suburban areas aligns with the governmental initiative to expand the city, illustrating their support for new communities in the outskirts.
With plans to establish six to seven hypermarkets in various suburban areas of Abu Dhabi, LuLu Group International aims to contribute to the city's expansion by providing accessible retail options closer to residential areas.
The recently launched hypermarket in Shawamekh boasts a wide array of products, services, and amenities, catering to the daily needs of the community, and this model will be replicated in the forthcoming hypermarkets.
Yusuffali highlighted the future focus on suburbs such as Baniyas, Al Shahama, the western regions, and other parts of Al Ain. He also mentioned the group's commitment to opening new hypermarkets across the UAE, subsequently generating employment opportunities for the local workforce.
