An earthquake measuring 5 in magnitude hit the southern region of Iran on Thursday, according to the National Seismic Network of the National Centre of Meteorology.
The seismic event was captured by the meteorological agency's network at 4:38 AM UAE time and occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers.
The National Centre of Meteorology confirmed that the earthquake did not impact the UAE and was not perceptible by residents.
