Over 50 artists from the Malhaar ensemble, alongside RJ Pavitra Menon from City1016FM and the dancers from the Tapasya Centre for Performing Arts, will guide the audience through the dynamic eras of Bollywood music. This production, which seamlessly integrates music, dance, theatre, and breathtaking visual effects, is a tribute to Bollywood's profound musical legacy.
The event, scheduled for September 21 at 7.30pm at the Emirates International School Auditorium, has been meticulously directed by Kevin Oliver. "It has been an absolute delight to be involved in this vibrant, colorful, and exhilarating show. Directing this multifaceted event, which combines vocals, dance, and visuals, presents a unique challenge and is incredibly inspiring for me," he remarked.
Oliver further added, “The task of curating the numerous beautiful songs to narrate a story, spanning from the 1940s to the present, was quite demanding. I strongly encourage the music and theatre enthusiasts in the UAE not to miss this remarkable production.” The show will feature a diverse medley of retro classics, popular tracks, and contemporary hits, with the choir infusing a fresh and dynamic touch to many iconic melodies.
