Malhaar is gearing up to celebrate the Diwali season with the introduction of its new Indian classical concert series, featuring a remarkable debut performance by Grammy award-winning flautist Rakesh Chaurasia and celebrated Hindustani classical vocalist Jayateerth Mevundi. The concert will be held on October 18 at the Emirates International School Auditorium in Jumeirah, Dubai.
This fresh initiative by Malhaar is designed to showcase the best musical talent in the Indian classical genre. The concert series will offer Dubai's audience a distinctive mix of immersive presentations, thematic performances, and top-tier music. "Each concert is meticulously curated to deliver not just exceptional music but also a heightened cultural experience for our audience," stated Jogiraj Sikidar, the founder and director of Malhaar. "We aim to provide a divine musical experience that resonates with the Indian festive season through the calming melodies of Indian classical ragas," he added.
Chaurasia expressed his enthusiasm, saying: "Both Jayateerth and I will perform solo pieces, followed by a collaborative exploration of Indian classical Ragas, offering a rich tapestry of soulful music." Mevundi also expressed his excitement for the event: "I am eagerly anticipating being part of this wonderful initiative by Malhaar. In addition to performing classical Ragas, I will also present devotional songs to celebrate the essence of Diwali."
Malhaar has additional concerts planned under this series, with the next event set for December 14, featuring young Hindustani classical prodigy Rahul Deshpande and Mahesh Kale in a special winter concert. Tickets are available on Platinumlist. For more details, visit Malhaar's website or follow us on social media (MalhaarUAE) for updates.
