Erik ten Hag's future as Manchester United manager will be determined at an executive summit led by Sir Jim Ratcliffe in London on Tuesday. Ratcliffe, who oversees the football department, will be joined by chief executive Omar Berrada, sporting director Dan Ashworth, and technical director Jason Wilcox. Although there is no internal indication that Ten Hag will be dismissed, should a decision be made, Ruud van Nistelrooy is favored as a potential caretaker replacement. If Van Nistelrooy impresses, he could be considered as Ten Hag's permanent successor.

Van Nistelrooy, who became Ten Hag's assistant last summer, managed PSV Eindhoven for most of the 2022-23 season, winning the KNVB Cup. In contrast, Thomas Tuchel was interviewed by Wilcox in Monaco about potentially replacing Ten Hag, but no formal approach has been made.

When asked about Ten Hag's future, Ratcliffe deferred to the executive team, stating, "I like Erik, I think he's a very good coach, but it's not my call." Other potential successors include Brentford manager Thomas Frank.
