Tesla CEO Elon Musk has claimed that the Cybertruck is among the safest, toughest, and most capable trucks on the planet. However, these images might make you reconsider. This piece of twisted metal was once a Cybertruck before it was caught in a severe accident. Now, it's up for auction on the IAAI salvage website, for those daring enough to attempt a restoration.
The auction listing provides few details. IAAI mentions that the truck was involved in a 'collision' and suffered 'total burn' damage. The front end is largely obliterated, with the front axle appearing to have snapped off during the crash. The rear view is equally distressing. The rear bumper is detached, and the tonneau and bed cover are missing, revealing the truck's insides. The front tires are gone, and the left rear tire is barely hanging on, while the right rear tire surprisingly remains intact.
The interior is in a deplorable state. The dashboard is unrecognizable under the debris, the screen is missing, and the seats are reduced to their frames. It's unclear if the back seat still exists. If you're a YouTuber in search of an unconventional project car or a masochist, IAAI will soon be selling these Cybertruck remnants in Houston, Texas. The auction house hasn't specified when it will be available, but stay tuned if you're interested.
