Tesla CEO Elon Musk has claimed that the Cybertruck is among the safest, toughest, and most capable trucks on Earth. However, after viewing these images, our certainty has wavered. This mass of twisted metal was once a Cybertruck before it met with a severe accident. It is now up for auction on the IAAI salvage website, for those daring enough to consider restoring it.

The auction listing provides few specifics. IAAI confirms the truck was in a 'collision' (unsurprisingly) and that the main damage stems from a 'total burn' (again, no surprise). The majority of the front end is obliterated, and it appears the front axle was cleanly severed in the crash. The rear view is equally unappealing. The entire rear bumper is detached from the frame, and the tonneau and bed cover are missing, revealing the Cybertruck's inner workings. The front tires are entirely gone, and the left rear tire is barely hanging on. Remarkably, the right rear tire seems intact.

The interior is virtually nonexistent. The dashboard is unrecognizable beneath the debris, the screen is gone, and the seats are reduced to their frames. It's unclear if the back seat remains at all. But, if you're a YouTuber in search of an unconventional project car or a hardcore enthusiast, IAAI will soon be selling these Cybertruck remnants in Houston, Texas. The auction house hasn't specified when it will be available, but stay tuned if you're interested.
