In a recent behind-the-scenes video, Mantic Games has provided additional insights into the tabletop game Halo: Flashpoint, just before its US release on November 16. The studio went to great lengths to ensure that the game offers an authentic experience for fans. One of the standout features is the emphasis on minimal preparation time and a user-friendly format, aiming to get players into the action as swiftly as possible.

"In Halo, you turn on your Xbox, load the game, and you're immediately in the action. We're striving to recreate that same immediacy with the tabletop version. You open the box, assemble the terrain, and the miniatures are already constructed and ready to use. You can start playing right away," explained community manager Andy Burdis in the video.

The video also showcased several miniatures, including Spartan soldiers and Covenant forces, the terrain that players can put together, and some of the impressive moves they can execute (provided they roll the right numbers). Mantic Games leveraged official resources from Halo Studios (formerly 343 Industries) and a wealth of materials dedicated to the Halo franchise's extensive history.

Halo: Flashpoint will be available in two starter sets, though both are currently sold out. Some third-party sellers have a limited number of starter sets, expected to be available by May 2025. The $125 Halo: Flashpoint Spartan Edition includes minifigures and terrain for two-player Spartan versus Banished skirmishes, along with rulebooks, playing cards, and other game components. The $78 Halo: Flashpoint Recon Edition features eight Spartan models with four distinct loadouts, accessories, and terrain pieces. These can be purchased from Mantic's official site and are set to launch in March 2025, though shipping and import fees should be considered if you opt for this version.
