Margot Robbie has disclosed that the full-frontal nude scene in 'The Wolf of Wall Street' was entirely her concept. During an interview with TCM’s Ben Mankiewicz on his podcast 'Talking Pictures,' the 34-year-old actress discussed her experience making the 2013 Martin Scorsese film. Robbie revealed that Scorsese, 82, suggested she wear a robe instead of being fully naked, but she declined, stating that she didn’t consider how 'everyone is going to see this.'

Robbie, who played Naomi Lapaglia, the wife of Jordan Belfort (played by Leonardo DiCaprio), explained that the scene required her to be completely naked. She was only 22 when she filmed 'Wolf of Wall Street.' This wasn’t the only bold move Robbie made in front of Scorsese and DiCaprio; she also slapped DiCaprio during her audition instead of kissing him, as the script originally called for.

Despite her initial nerves, Robbie opted for some liquid courage before filming the nude scene. She also shared that it was her idea for her and DiCaprio’s characters to have one last sexual encounter before she asks for a divorce. Robbie noted that working with Scorsese was a unique experience, where the crazier the performance, the more screen time she would get.
