The legendary Metropol makes travel to Moscow even safer and more convenient. Committed to exceptional hospitality and the utmost comfort of our guests, we are the first hotel in Russia to implement a system enabling overseas travelers to pay with a prepaid bankcard while in Russia.

Our Hotel offers familiar and secure payment options in partnership with the Russian Standard Bank to our guests visiting of diverse backgrounds.

The process of obtaining a bankcard is simple. After receiving a reservation from an international guest, the hotel staff will offer that guest a nationally recognized card payment system, free of charge. The reception desk will let travelers collect the card applied for in advance; alternatively, it can be issued and activated during check-in after a similar procedure of filling out a brief agreement.

Money may be deposited on the account either before the guest's arrival or after receiving the card at the hotel. Topping up the balance requires a standard bank transfer from the guest's bank account of their home country.
This bankcard service covers all possible payments throughout Russia, including restaurants and cafés, stores and shopping centers, beauty salons, museums, theaters and cinemas, online stores, car sharing and taxi, as well as other online services.

Using the bankcard is highly secure. Offline payments are protected by a PIN code and all online transactions are made following authentication rules. Since this is not a credit card, it does not require payment for issuance and upkeep.
