Actor and television host Mario Lopez will be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, according to Variety. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce will bestow the honor upon Lopez on October 10. He will receive his star in the category of television.
Walk of Famer and iHeart Media Personality Ellen K will emcee the event, joined by actor Mark Wahlberg, Elvia Lopez, and Valari Staab, Chairman of NBCUniversal Local. Hollywood Walk of Fame Producer Ana Martinez expressed that this recognition is a fitting tribute to Lopez's remarkable career in television.
Lopez gained fame as 'AC Slater' on the '90s teen series Saved By The Bell, and he later produced two seasons of its reboot for NBC's Peacock. His acting credits also include appearances on NBC's This is Us and The CW's Jane the Virgin.
Additionally, Lopez has appeared on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Rookie, and voiced the recurring role of 'Cruz' on Disney's animated series Elena of Avalor, alongside his daughter Gia.
