The 83-year-old domestic guru, known for her lifestyle empire, crossed paths with the 36-year-old couple at the Footwear News Achievement Awards (FNAA), often referred to as the “Shoe Oscars.” This prestigious event honors exceptional contributions to the footwear industry.
Stewart's encounter with Rihanna and A$AP Rocky left her visibly thrilled, prompting her to share her admiration for the couple on Instagram. “RIRI @badgalriri is so beautiful ! And statuesque!” she wrote, adding, “And [she] has a very handsome and funny boyfriend asap rocky.” Stewart, who was one of the honorees at the Cipriani event, was presented with the Icon award by her close friend and collaborator, Snoop Dogg, who did so virtually.
Kevin Sharkey, Stewart’s executive director of design for Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, also posted a photo of Stewart and Rihanna, captioning it, “Icons Only!!” Both Stewart and A$AP Rocky were recognized at the ceremony; Stewart received the Icon award, while A$AP was awarded for Collaboration of the Year for his partnership with Puma.
Stewart’s business Instagram account shared Sharkey’s photo, noting, “It was an iconic night for Martha.” Stewart, who recently made headlines with her Netflix documentary “Martha,” also drew attention for her impressive Thanksgiving baking efforts, creating 35 pies in various flavors. Despite a kitchen mess caused by a baking oversight, Stewart declared, “The pies are delicious!”
