Marwa Hasan Alsayedabbas Alfardan spent much of her childhood navigating hospitals for physiotherapy and doctor's appointments due to her condition as a person of determination. These experiences profoundly shaped her perspective. Now, at 21, she serves as a guest service executive at Burjeel Hospital Abu Dhabi, giving back to the community that supported her during her challenging times.
Marwa's role involves interacting with patients, managing appointments, and ensuring smooth service operations. Recently, she was recognized as one of the ambassadors under Burjeel Holdings' initiative to empower Emirati talents. Launched on the UAE's 53rd National Day, the program promoted 53 exceptional Emiratis to leadership roles as Etihad Ambassadors.
After graduating from high school, Marwa secured her first job at Burjeel Hospital in June 2024. Her daily routine includes confirming patient appointments and coordinating with nurses to ensure timely service. Despite facing challenges, Marwa remains determined and proactive, often turning potential negative experiences into positive ones through mutual respect and understanding.
Outside of work, Marwa finds solace in her art, dreaming of opening her own gallery someday. Her recognition as an Etihad Ambassador has been a significant milestone, inspiring her to continue pursuing her dreams and encouraging others in her community to do the same.
The program also recognized other Emiratis, including Maryam Salem Al Falasi, an 18-year-old balancing a full-time job and high school studies. Maryam works as a customer service specialist at Medeor Hospital, Dubai, and aspires to study business in the future, advocating for early career opportunities for young people.
