The Call of Duty camo grind continues in Black Ops 6, as the game launches with some stunning new mastery camos for multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone. Our guide will walk you through the steps needed to unlock all of these prestigious weapon camos.

Black Ops 6's camos are divided into three categories: Military, Special, and Mastery. To unlock the coveted Mastery camo challenges for each mode, you'll first need to unlock the Military and Special camos. This year, the camo grind has been simplified, making it less of a headache.

For the first time, Warzone has its own unique Mastery camo grind, but it won't begin until after Black Ops 6 is integrated into battle royale with the Season 1 update. Previously, weapons needed to reach specific ranks to unlock certain camo challenges. Black Ops 6 removes the leveling requirement, allowing you to start unlocking base Military camos more easily.

Each weapon features nine Military camos unlocked sequentially by reaching progressive milestones in each mode. These camos must be unlocked individually for each weapon. Once you've completed all Military camos for a weapon, you can move on to unlocking its Special camos. Special camos can be unlocked in any order and are universal, meaning they can be equipped to any weapon that has completed the Military camos and unlocked access to the Special category in at least one mode.

With all Military and Special camos unlocked for a specific weapon, you can begin the Mastery camo challenges. Each mode (MP, Zombies, Warzone) has four unique Mastery camos to unlock. These must be unlocked individually for each weapon, and you don't have to complete them for all modes.

Gold is the first mastery challenge you unlock once you complete the Military and Special challenges for a weapon. To unlock the Diamond mastery challenge, you need to complete all Gold camo challenges for all weapons in the same weapon class. Dark Spine is an animated camo that requires you to get the Diamond camo for every weapon in the game, followed by a specific challenge for each weapon.

In Zombies, Mystic Gold is the first mastery challenge. To unlock the Opal Zombies mastery challenges, you need to complete all Mystic Gold camo challenges for all weapons in the same weapon class. Afterlife is an animated camo that requires you to get the Opal camo for every weapon in the game, followed by a specific challenge for each weapon.

In Warzone, Gold Tiger is the first mastery challenge. To unlock the King's Ransom Mastery challenge, you need to complete all Gold Tiger camo challenges for all weapons in the same weapon class. Catalyst is an animated camo that requires you to get the King's Ransom camo for every weapon in the game, followed by a specific challenge for each weapon.

Pro tip: More weapons will be added throughout the seasons, but the total needed for these camos won't change. It's sometimes best to leave the weapons you don't enjoy or struggle with for last, as a DLC weapon in the same class could be a better replacement.
