The Mohammed bin Rashid Aerospace Hub (MBRAH) at Dubai South witnessed 8,472 movements during the initial six months of 2024, marking a 7 percent increase compared to the same timeframe in 2023. This surge in private jet traffic follows the 2023 record of 16,657 movements, with projections indicating a rise to 18,000 movements by the end of 2024.
"This milestone underscores the expanding sophistication of the business aviation sector and solidifies Al Maktoum International Airport's position as the premier hub for international business aviation in the Middle East," according to a recent statement. Khalifa Al Zaffin, the executive chairman of Dubai Aviation City Corporation and Dubai South, expressed his satisfaction with the consistent growth in business aviation traffic, anticipating further increases due to the upcoming expansions in aircraft hangars and maintenance services at Dubai South, as well as the hosting of the MEBAA Show, the region's foremost business aviation exhibition, in December 2024.
MBRAH is committed to enhancing Dubai's status as the global aviation nexus, in harmony with the government's strategic vision. It provides top-tier connectivity for international aerospace entities and serves as a free-zone haven for major airlines, private jet firms, and related sectors. Situated within and developed by Dubai South, MBRAH also accommodates maintenance facilities and educational institutions focused on aviation training.
