Meghan Markle and Victoria Beckham are reportedly not planning to reconcile their differences after their recent fallout. Prince Harry, 40, and Meghan, 43, were once close friends with the fashion icon, 50, and her soccer star husband, David Beckham, 49. The Beckhams even attended the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's royal wedding at Windsor Castle in 2018. However, the relationship between the exiled royals and the Beckhams has since soured, and the two couples are now "no longer on speaking terms," according to recent reports.
Royal commentator Ingrid Seward discussed the current state of Meghan and Victoria's friendship, revealing that the latter is too preoccupied with her upcoming projects to consider reconciling with her former friend. Victoria Beckham is preparing for her own Netflix series, "The House of VB." This documentary series will follow Victoria as she balances her fashion brand, beauty business, motherhood, marriage, and friendships under the global spotlight.
Netflix announced the start of production on August 21; however, the air date for the series has not yet been disclosed. Meghan is reportedly "furious" about Victoria's show, as she is also set to launch a cooking series on the streaming platform in 2025, tied to her American Riviera Orchard lifestyle brand.
The royal couple's company, Archewell Productions, also produced a Netflix docuseries called "POLO," which offers a behind-the-scenes look at the glamorous world of the popular sport. The 5-episode series is scheduled to premiere on December 10. However, when it comes to Meghan and Victoria repairing their friendship, Seward believes that a reconciliation is unlikely.
"I only think they would reconcile if they come across each other, and I'm not sure that they really do. I can't think that their paths would particularly cross again," she told The Sun, according to GB News. "I think the Beckhams have distanced themselves from Meghan and Harry, but for the obvious reasons that we all know, you know Meghan and Harry are in the descendant, not the ascendant."
The royal commentator suggested that the power dynamic between the two women has shifted. "Victoria is actually too busy. She's got a business. She's got a very successful husband," she claimed. "She's got houses all over the place. She's got children. I don't think she probably has any time to think about it really."
Seward believes that Meghan is "annoyed that Victoria had pipped her to the post" with her Netflix show, adding, "She'd have to be magnanimous about it deep down inside. She might be annoyed, but she cannot show it, and you know she's enough of an actress to know that she can't possibly show it."
The royal expert explained that Meghan won't express her feelings publicly. "I think to say anything else would be a grave error, and she knows that," Seward suggested. "Of course, she'd be annoyed, but there's absolutely nothing she can do about it because she doesn't have a hand in the scheduling of these shows."
The Post reached out to the Sussexes and Beckhams' representatives for comment.
