The recently unveiled Meta Quest 3S comes with an impressive launch bundle that enhances its already budget-friendly appeal. Available until April 30, 2025, or while supplies last, the Quest 3S bundle includes Batman: Arkham Shadow, an exclusive action game for the Quest 3 platform, where the Dark Knight faces off against the Rat King.
The Meta Quest 3S launch bundle is offered in two storage options: 128GB for $300 and 256GB for $400. Preorders are currently open at several major retailers, such as Amazon and Best Buy. Announced at Meta Connect 2024, the Quest 3S features the same Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 chipset and 8GB of RAM as the standard Quest 3. It also includes a pair of Touch Pro controllers that support gesture controls for menu navigation.
Battery life is slightly improved with the Quest 3S, offering an average playtime of two-and-a-half hours between charges, compared to two hours with the regular Quest 3. The cost-saving measures include using the 1832 x 1920 fresnel lenses from the Meta Quest 2, instead of the 2064 x 2208 pancake lenses found in the pricier Meta Quest 3, which provide better resolution and clarity. Additionally, the Quest 3S lacks a depth sensor and has a narrower field of vision.
