Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Lebanon closed their airspaces on Tuesday following Iran's missile launch targeting Israel. Air traffic was suspended at Israel's Ben Gurion airport, according to a spokesman, as explosions reverberated across the country after Iran initiated a missile assault.
"There are currently no takeoffs and landings," stated a spokesman for Israel's primary international airport. Jordan also temporarily halted air traffic as reported by its state news agency. Iraq likewise ceased air traffic amid the escalating crisis, according to its state news agency. Lebanon also opted to shut its airspace due to the rising tensions.
"Lebanon's airspace will be closed to air traffic for a two-hour period on Tuesday," announced Transport Minister Ali Hamie. Iran's revolutionary guards claimed the missile launches were in response to the killing of Haniyeh, Nasrallah, and Nilforoushan.
