A minor update has been released for both Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone. The patch notes from November 25 outline modifications to mantling movement, updates to the Firing Range, and reduced player limits for Warzone's Area 99 map.

One of the key changes in this update is an enhancement to the high-mantle speed in both Black Ops 6 and Warzone. This adjustment specifically boosts the speed at which players can pull themselves over high ledges or walls. The developers have increased this speed to facilitate smoother climbing movements.

Additionally, the update includes tweaks for the Gunsmith and Firing Range features in Black Ops 6. Controller users can now inspect weapons in the Firing Range by double-tapping the left D-pad. The update also rectifies issues with the Gunsmith that previously prevented proper equipping of Zombies weapon builds and fixed a bug that allowed some weapons to have nine attachments.

On the Warzone front, the player limit for matches on the Area 99 Resurgence map has been reduced. The updated player counts are as follows:

The developers made this decision to enhance the pacing of matches and decrease the frequency of third-party engagements. Treyarch states, "We aim to reduce friction by balancing action and player agency, giving players crucial time to gather loot and set up their loadouts."

Furthermore, the update addressed an issue with Warzone's gas mask, where the unequip animation would sometimes play without player input. Players will now only see the animation if they choose to remove the mask themselves.

In other Call of Duty news, a new Black Ops 6 bundle allows players to become a shark operator. Additionally, an extended double XP event is announced for this week, celebrating Black Ops 6's record-breaking launch.

Maps

After reviewing internal data, we’ve decided to slightly adjust the player count on Area 99, our newest Resurgence map. The updated player counts are as follows:

These changes aim to improve the overall pacing of each match and reduce the frequency of third-party interruptions during engagements. We hope to reduce friction by striking a better balance between action and player agency, allowing players the all-important time to loot up - and get their Loadout.

In the meantime, we’ll continue monitoring feedback and data to make further adjustments if needed. We look forward to sharing more about upcoming Warzone updates soon.
