Liverpool's star player Mohamed Salah has expressed uncertainty about his future at the Premier League club, stating that he is 'more out than in' due to the lack of a new contract offer. The Egyptian forward, whose current contract is set to expire next summer, scored twice in Liverpool's 3-2 comeback victory against Southampton on Sunday, extending their lead at the top of the league standings to eight points. However, Salah's post-match comments at St Mary's were not as positive for the Liverpool fans who had been chanting his name.

"Well, we are almost in December and I haven't received any offers yet to stay at the club. I'm probably more out than in," Salah, who has scored 10 Premier League goals and provided six assists this season, told reporters. Salah, who took the time to speak to the media before boarding the Liverpool team coach, expressed his disappointment with the situation.

"I love the fans and the fans love me but it's not in my hands. Let's wait and see," he said. Salah joined Liverpool in 2017 and has since become a beloved figure at Anfield, scoring 165 goals in 262 Premier League appearances. His performance this season indicates that the 32-year-old is still at the height of his abilities.

"I'm very professional. Everybody can see my work ethic. I'm just trying to enjoy my football and I will play at the top level as long as possible," Salah said. "I'm just doing my best because this is who I am and I try to give it all for myself and for the club. We will see what happens next." Reuters has reached out to Liverpool for comment.
