Bangladesh's Nobel laureate in microfinance, Muhammad Yunus, is slated to head a temporary government following the removal of the prime minister. He will be returning to Dhaka on Thursday, according to a statement from his office.
Yunus, aged 84 and presently in Europe, is scheduled to land in the capital Dhaka at 2:10 pm (0810 GMT) on Thursday, as confirmed by his office.
