Two second-half goals from substitute Jamal Musiala helped Bayern Munich secure a 4-2 victory over Heidenheim on Saturday, extending their lead at the top of the Bundesliga to six points.

The Bavarians, who are set to face Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League on Tuesday, were without injured stars Harry Kane, Manuel Neuer, and Serge Gnabry. Eager to rebound from their midweek German Cup defeat by Bayer Leverkusen—their first loss in domestic competitions this season—Bayern took control from the start and opened the scoring in the 18th minute when Dayot Upamecano headed in unmarked.

Heidenheim equalized five minutes into the second half, capitalizing on a defensive blunder by Upamecano that allowed Mathias Honsak to score. However, the visitors' joy was short-lived as Musiala restored Bayern's lead with a well-placed shot from inside the box. Leon Goretzka then added a third with a deflected shot in the 84th minute, only for Heidenheim to pull one back through Niclas Doresch.

Musiala sealed the victory with a solo effort in stoppage time, his eighth league goal of the season, making it 4-2. Bayern now lead the Bundesliga with 33 points, six ahead of second-placed Eintracht Frankfurt, who drew 2-2 at home against Augsburg.

Meanwhile, Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen continued their winning streak, beating St Pauli 2-1. Leverkusen took control early with Florian Wirtz scoring from a Granit Xhaka pass, and Jonathan Tah doubled their lead with a header. St Pauli made it a tense finish with a goal from Morgan Guilavogui in the 84th minute.
