Over 9.47 million patient medical records have been integrated into Nabidh, a pioneering initiative by Dubai's Health Authority (DHA) designed to elevate healthcare services across the emirate.
The system has achieved a notable milestone by linking more than 1,300 healthcare facilities in Dubai. With 81% of Dubai's healthcare professionals actively utilizing the platform, Nabidh is revolutionizing patient data management, thereby facilitating smoother medical care for patients.
Nabidh, an acronym for Network & Analysis Backbone for Integrated Dubai Health, is a cornerstone of DHA's strategy to digitalize healthcare services, ensuring that each patient has a unified electronic medical record accessible to all healthcare providers. This initiative is geared towards enhancing operational efficiency, reducing errors, and delivering a more tailored patient care experience.
Mona Bajman, CEO of Shared Support Services Sector at DHA, highlighted that Nabidh has established a secure framework for the exchange of reliable health data among healthcare facilities. It empowers healthcare providers to securely share and access patients' comprehensive medical records from both public and private sectors in Dubai, adhering to the highest standards of privacy, accuracy, and speed.
Awadh Seghayer Al Ketbi, Director General of DHA, emphasized that the portal aims to elevate healthcare standards, ensure seamless communication between healthcare facilities, strengthen the bond between medical professionals and patients, and support informed decision-making processes. Additionally, it integrates advanced systems for disease prevention into the community.
