The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a warning to motorists about poor visibility due to fog formation on Sunday morning. The weather department issued a red alert, informing residents about deteriorating horizontal visibility, which could further decrease in certain coastal and internal areas until 9:30 AM.

In a post on X, Abu Dhabi Police urged motorists to drive with caution due to reduced visibility caused by the fog. Drivers are advised to adhere to the changing speed limits displayed on electronic information boards.

On Saturday morning, the NCM also issued a red alert due to foggy conditions. Although the forecast predicted fog in some parts of the country this morning, the overall weather is expected to be fair with occasional partly cloudy skies.

Humid conditions are anticipated during the night and will persist into Monday morning, with a possibility of fog or mist forming in some coastal and internal areas. Temperatures are expected to reach up to 38ºC in internal areas and drop as low as 15ºC in the mountains. Light to moderate winds, occasionally freshening, are forecasted to blow across the country. The sea conditions are expected to be slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
