Indian superstar Neeraj Chopra delivered a remarkable performance to secure his spot in the final of the men's javelin throw at the Paris Olympics on Tuesday. The Tokyo Games gold medalist achieved a season's best throw of 89.34 meters in his initial attempt in Group B, ensuring his place in the final. At 26, Chopra, who also clinched the World Championship title last year, aims to be the fifth man ever to win consecutive Olympic gold medals in men's javelin throw. Germany's Julian Weber, a leading contender for the gold, topped Group A in the qualification round with a throw of 87.76 meters. Meanwhile, Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem, a gold medalist at the Commonwealth Games and a silver medalist at the World Championships, demonstrated his competitive edge with a throw of 86.59 meters. The Czech Republic's Jakub Vadlejch, another strong contender, managed a throw of 85.63 meters.
