Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu dismissed his defense minister, Yoav Gallant, on Tuesday, citing a lack of trust in his handling of Israel's current military activities.
In a statement from Netanyahu's office, Foreign Minister Israel Katz was appointed to replace Gallant as defense minister, while Gideon Saar took over as the new foreign minister.
