Netflix officially confirmed the casting during Thursday's Geeked Week announcements, which were live in Atlanta. The original story follows below.
It appears that Netflix's live-action adaptation of One Piece will feature more pirates and mercenaries. Fans can anticipate the introduction of Baroque Works, with Mr. 0/Sir Crocodile and Miss All Sunday being portrayed by Joe Manganiello and Lera Abova, respectively. The announcement was made prematurely, as Netflix's Tadum hub revealed the information early. GameSpot has contacted Netflix for confirmation.
Sir Crocodile, a former Warlord of the Sea and the ex-president of the enigmatic crime syndicate Baroque Works, operated under the alias Mr. 0. As a Warlord, Crocodile maintained the guise of being an ally to both the people of the Arabasta Kingdom and the Marines, while secretly running Baroque Works.
Miss All Sunday, whose real name is Nico Robin, is Crocodile's partner and Vice-President of Baroque Works. Born into a family of archaeologists, Robin consumed the Hana Hana no Mi devil fruit at a young age, granting her the ability to replicate her body parts—or her entire body—on any surface.
Season 1 of Netflix's One Piece was a massive success and was promptly renewed for a second season, though no updates on the release of Season 2 have been provided.
In addition to Manganiello and Abova, the cast includes Morgan Davies as Koby, Aidan Scott as Helmeppo, Vincent Regan as Vice Admiral Garp, Langley Kirkwood as Captain 'Axe Hand' Morgan, Craig Fairbrass as Zeff, Peter Gadiot as Shanks, Ilia Isorelýs Paulino as Alvida, Jeff Ward as Buggy the Clown, Alexander Maniatis as Klahadore, McKinley Belcher III as Arlong, Steven Ward as Dracule Mihawk, and Michael Dorman as Gold Roger.
