During the Netflix Geeked Week 2024 Live presentation today, a segment focused on the expanding Netflix Games platform for mobile devices. It was announced that pre-registrations for Monument Valley 3, the newest addition to the highly praised mobile puzzle series, are now available ahead of its December 10 launch. New footage of Monument Valley 3 was showcased privately during a press briefing earlier this week. One clip provided an extended view of the new sailing traversal mechanic, which was briefly shown in the reveal trailer. Players will guide the boat by pressing and moving their finger around the screen. Another clip featured a unique puzzle in the series's signature isometric view, where some pathways were obscured by a strong white light in the background.
This release date announcement follows the reveal of Monument Valley 3 during Gamescom Opening Night Live last month. The first two Monument Valley games will be available on the Netflix platform before the release of the new installment, with the original launching today and Monument Valley 2 arriving on October 29. The Netflix Geeked Week presentation also unveiled several other games coming to Netflix Games in the near future, including a new Spongebob-themed puzzle game, Spongebob: Bubble Pop F.U.N., and games based on Netflix properties such as Blood Line: A Rebel Moon Game and Squid Game Unleashed. Other titles announced include Street Fighter IV: Champion Edition and Civilization VI, both marked as 'coming soon,' and a new version of the classic board game Battleship, set to launch on September 24.
Monument Valley 3 is set to launch on December 10 exclusively on mobile devices through the Netflix app. All games available on Netflix are free to download with any active Netflix subscription.
